NEW    ISLAND HOP HAWAII . . . OAHU, MAUI, KAUAI, HAWAII

9 Days / August 2

We’re cruising Hawaii; join us and see more of Hawaii aboard Norwegian’s “Pride of America”, the first brand-new, US-flagged ship in half a century! Bring the whole family – grandparents, parents, children – for an experience of a lifetime.

Day 1.  You are transported by motorcoach or van to Lambert Field in St. Louis this morning and fly to Honolulu, Oahu; then transported to the ship with the cruise departing at 8:00 PM.  We gain 5 hours today so set your watches back and enjoy the extra time in our 50th state.

Day 2.  We arrive at Hilo port on the “Big Island”, Hawaii at 8:00 AM; and, depart at 7:00 PM.  There is nothing on earth to compare with the extraordinary experience of the Big Island of Hawaii.  From the awesome power of lava-spewing Kilauea, to the serenity of tropical Hilo, to the upbeat warmth of Kona, to the underwater landscape of lava tubes, caves and colorful marine life, this is a place that promises to give you the memories of a lifetime.  We also return to the Big Island on Day 5 giving you extra time to explore and enjoy the many optional shore excursions – Volcanoes National Park or the more active Kilauea Volcano and view hot, flowing lava – “the hottest show on earth”;  Waipio Valley; Parker Ranch; beautiful tropical botanical gardens; play golf; go horseback riding; sport fishing; the birthplace of King Kamehameha; and more.

Day 3.  Maui is our destination for today; arriving at 8:00 AM and departing tomorrow evening.  It is a favorite of the islands for many people. Plumeria, orchids, hibiscus and sweet ginger grow wild throughout the island.  The gold, white, red and green sand beaches stretch for miles and miles along the coast.  Inland you’ll find nature’s extravagance in the Sacred IaoValley and towering Mt. Haleakala.  The spectacular Road to Hana twists part jungles, waterfalls, caves and pristine lagoons.  Some of the optional shore excursions include:  a luau (a “must” for first-time visitors), Haleakala Crater, Road to Hana, Sacred Iao Valley, Lahaina, Maui Ocean Center, golf, Kaanapali Beach and Black Rock, horseback riding, Maui Tropical Plantation, snorkeling, tour to the island of Lanai, and much more.

Day 4.  We leave Maui at 6:00 PM today; so you have additional time to enjoy the many attractions of this fascinating island.

Day 5.  We are back on The Big Island, Hawaii, arriving at Kona port at 7:00 AM; and departing at 6:00 PM.  Enjoy the activities today that you didn’t have enough time for on Day 2!

Day 6.  Today we arrive at Nawiliwili, Kauaiat 8:00 AM, are there overnight, and depart tomorrow afternoon.  From the moment you step foot on Kauai, you’ll be tempted to think of this island as your favorite.  It is home to the wettest spot on earth – Mt. Waialeale averages 485 inches per year – and as a result it is as lush and verdant as any paradise imagined.  Waterfalls cascade from cliffs and hillsides and hundreds of rare plants and wildlife flourish here.  Optional shore excursions include:  Waimea Canyon, Wailua River, Fern Grotto, Na Pali Coastline, Hanalei, waterfalls, Kipu Ranch, golf, Allerton Gardens, Hanamaulu Ditch, Princeville, and Mount Waialeale.

Day 7.  You will have this morning to enjoy more of Kauai, departing at 2:00 PM.

Day 8.  We arrive back at Honolulu, Oahu at 7:00 AM.  After debarkation from the ship, the remainder of the day is available to explore Oahu.  Major attractions include:  Pearl Harbor, USS Battleship Missouri Memorial, North Shore, Polynesian Cultural Center, Bishop Museum, Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach, play golf, Punchbowl National Cemetery, King Kamehameha Statue, Dole Plantation and Hanauma Bay.  Our return flight departs Oahu late PM.  We lose 5 hours on our return flight.

Day 9.  We arrive in St. Louis this morning after our overnight flight and are transported back home by motorcoach or van by Capitol Tours.  We arrive home tired; but with wonderful memories of each unique island and each thrilling attraction.  We have experienced it all in one unforgettable vacation.
