CHICAGOHOLIDAY SHOPPING 3 Days / November 14 Do you dream of having all your holiday shopping done early each holiday season? Make it happen in 2008 - Gurnee Mills, Oak Street Chicago, North Michigan Avenue Chicago, Woodfield Mall! Day 1. We head for the Chicago area this morning with our shopping lists, credit cards, and with anticipation of “doing it all at once”. Gurnee Mills features hundreds of the best names – JC Penney Outlet Store, Burlington Coat Factory, T. J. Maxx, The Sports Authority, Sears Grand, Bass Pro Shops, Marshalls Home Goods, Value City, CircuitCity, Kohl’s, Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, and many more. We spend the remainder of the day here with shops open to 9:00 PM. For those who want to “call it a day” earlier, our coach will offer shuttle service back to the hotel. Swimmers – bring your swimwear and enjoy the indoor pool and whirlpool at the hotel. Lodging: Comfort Suites, Gurnee, IL Day 2. Following breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Oak Street North Chicago for upscale shopping. Shop both sides of Oak Street at A Pea in the Pod, Hermes, Jil Sander, Marilyn Miglin, Prada, Barneys New York, Kate Spade and others. You may want to allow time for The Daisy Shop which opens at 11 AM for the largest selection of gently worn, women’s authentic couture clothing and accessories in the U. S. You will find about 2,000 items hand-selected from the wardrobes of the best dressed women in Chicago, New York, Boston, Palm Beach Springs, and Los Angeles. This afternoon, we shop North Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Here you find department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, and Nordstrom, as well as jewelers, big name apparel retailers, plus a host of boutiques and specialty shops. We then travel to Schaumburg to Woodfield Mall, an enclosed mall and the largest in the area with 5 anchors surrounded by 285 specialty shops and boutiques. Tired? Plan to stay at the hotel, relax, and enjoy the indoor pool and whirlpool. We will have another opportunity to shop Woodfield Mall tomorrow. Lodging: Quality Inn, Schaumburg, IL Day 3. We have breakfast at the hotel. You may choose an optional Catholic Mass or Protestant Worship Service this morning, or choose to sleep in and relax. We have additional shopping time at Woodfield Mall today; then head for home with lots of packages; and a feeling of accomplishment! Included meals: 2 Breakfasts
