WISCONSIN DELLS

4 Days / June 23

The rugged beauty of the cliffs and canyons are the perfect backdrop for our favorite activities in The Dells and a visit to nearby Baraboo.  This is a great family trip – grandparents, parents, children and youth; bring your swim wear along and enjoy the indoor pools!

Day 1.  We join our fellow travelers and head for Wisconsin.  Our first evening is spent in the charming Swiss village of New Glarus with included dinner complete with yodelers at the hotel. Lodging:  Chateau Landhaus, New Glarus, WI

Day 2.  We have breakfast at this hotel this morning.  Our first attraction today is the amazing House on the Rocks; a collection which took years to accumulate and like no other!  This afternoon, we have a horse & wagon tour through a scenic sandstone canyon.  At Lost Canyon you enjoy the entire tour riding through a magnificent mile of cliff-walled gorges.  Your tour will be even more thrilling when you come to the narrow passages of Lost Canyon where the guides must talk the horses through the tight squeeze.  In some of the deeper parts of the canyon the sheer rock and sandstone wall have not felt the touch of sun in more than 50,000 years.  A group dinner is included this evening at the Thunder Valley Inn.  Lodging:  Best Western Ambassador Inn, Wisconsin Dells, WI (2 nights)

Day 3.  Breakfast is included and is the choice of one of three meal selections at the onsite Denny’s Restaurant.  Today we travel to Baraboo, home of the Brothers Ringling, to visit the Circus World Museum and enjoy the circus acts, shows, and demos.  This afternoon, we have a boat cruise through the Dells. We travel along the Wisconsin River and see why Wisconsin Dells is famous for its peaceful, natural beauty.  You will enjoy the one and only way to take two scenic shore landings including a stroll through Witches Gulch and witness the traditional Stand Rock dog jump. This evening we are in for a treat!  Dinner is at Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty followed by The Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Thrill Show.  Professional entertainers from around the world keep you on the edge of your seat with excitement on water . . . on the stage . . . and in the sky.  This one-of-a-kind live show features family oriented comedy, death-defying thrills and water skiing performances packed with talent, beauty and showmanship. What a day!
